Artist statement

My works open up pictorial spaces that invite us not only to look, but to step inside: layered, atmospheric and emotional. Their effect often emerges at a second glance, as the surface begins to reveal the layers beneath.

I work with digital collages made from many of my own photographs. Through blending, layering and subtle shifts in colour, I free the visible world from a single, fixed meaning. In my compositions, reality, memory and interpretation flow into one another. The works develop intuitively, from spontaneous impulses that can reach me anywhere, at any time. The digital medium is essential to me because it gives me freedom from the constraints of material, place and time.

I do not create fantasy worlds, but spaces for interpretation, formed from fragments of lived experience that I deliberately shift, transform and reassemble. My works speak of perception, identity and memory, and of the stories we write about ourselves. They ask how much truth an image can hold, and how much interpretation we bring to it. Each work thus becomes a space of resonance: a place where my inner truth meets that of the viewer, and for a moment the two recognise each other.

My visual worlds combine the shadow-rich aesthetic of urban scenes with the colourful weightlessness of surreal dreamscapes. Light, colour and atmosphere condense into quiet spaces of transition: places to pause, to recognise and to experience inner change. These spaces are neither real nor invented; they are concentrated expressions of perception.

My art begins with the question of how we construct reality. Photography shows what exists; my works show moments, times and places layered over one another. They invite us to immerse ourselves in new, surreal worlds and to question our own perception within them.
